Just spend about 2 hours watching a movie named [Blood Diamond], stared by Leonardo Dicaprio and Jennifer Connelly.I didn’t know but some of my favorite movies have some African Background, like [Black Hawk Down].

Not going to give a narration on the storyline of the movie, but I give it 8 out of 10. I mean the 2 hours I spent just worth it. I was about to cry twice during the movie, the scene Danny and Maddie said farewell, and the scene Danny handed the Diamond over to Soloman. Surely actors in this movie did a real good job, especially Leo, whom I think they own an Oscar to.

Besides the exquisite acting of the actors, the music there is also epic, which may top my list of those movie I ve watched so far.

And after finishing the movie, I did a little research on the blood diamond. And I found a documentary on the diamond trading , and the conflict, civil war which was caused by those diamonds. Among Friends of mine, and people I know who get married , most of them bought a diamond ring, no matter they have been paid well or the ring may cost half-a-year income. And when I knew that the high price of those diamonds are just kept up by the monopoly of the diamonds on market by Company like De Beers, I think I will never buy a diamond jewelry or something. Nowadays people just related the diamond to ever-lasting love, marriage … and that is actually just some sort of commercial campaign made of by De Beers? eh…

Moreover people in countries like Congo , Sirre Leone are still suffering from the amputation, uncovered landmines , and genocide caused by those blood diamond… Maybe before we decide to buy a transparent gem we need to give a second thought about it.

And the track of the film is also epic
